“ My husband and I visited Batson River twice during our recent visit to Kennebunkport. We were seated promptly during both visits. During our first visit we sat upstairs on the deck and during our second visit we sat downstairs under the covered portion of the patio. Service was friendly and efficient during both visits. We love the atmosphere and the views you can enjoy here. We only had drinks, which were great, but the food looked equally delicious! We will definitely return! ”
“ 4.20.25 We were exploring the area and our eyes caught this place so we popped in. And we.didmt want to leave. The food and beer were amazing. The inside has all sorts of unique seating options and games to play. And the outdoors is just as magical. This is truly an amazing place to visit. And they have other options should you not like beer. ”
“ This was an amazing experience. Upstairs there was board games a ton of great stuff. I went hear with my family for a nice meal it had a great selection of meals for everyone. I have several allergies and i told my waiter who was awesome. She assisted me told me all the ingredients and made sure there were no cross contamination. She was amazing she assisted all of us and made sure everything was great for us. The views here are great and theres a good amount of seating. It felt a lil crowded but not a bother. The food wasn’t that bad in price. It was delicious. Probably the best burger and fries I’ve had in awhile! Id you have the money and time definitely check this place out. The only thing is that the tables didn’t come with coasters. The table was kind of dirty. ”
“ We dined here for lunch on Saturday afternoon. They have a nice selection of beer and cocktails. We shared the Shishito Peppers, Duck Fat Corn Bread and the smash burger. Everything was excellent but my only complaint is that everything came out at once. It is very hard to eat when that happens and I prefer things to come more slowly- appetizers then mains etc. ”
“ Now eating in a Fish Shack .... Well why wouldn't you? (it's a modified fish shack just so you know). I completely enjoyed my evening. It was nice and warm, loved the atmosphere and the staff were just wonderful. I had the salmon plate, perfect! Stop and give them a visit and enjoy this unique experience in Kennebunkport. ”
“ Stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It wasn’t too crowded - seated right away. All the old school pictures of local (presumably) fishermen and their catches were awesome to look at. We really liked the decor/set up inside. Beers were good. My husband got a flight and I got the season German Lager - Post Road - which was a perfect lager IMO. Food - lobster roll and haddock tacos. I would skip the lobster roll, nothing special. But the haddock tacos...WOW. Honestly I think the tacos was the best meal I had all weekend. Also the fries that came with both were great. Service was quick and friendly. ”

“ Very cute and quaint place! The duck fat cornbread was surprisingly good—and this comes from someone who has never liked cornbread. It’s sweet and moist—delish! The clam chowder was pretty good too, and the mussels were huge in comparison to what we’ve normally had! I really recommend this place if you’re in the area. FYI, on Chase Hill road, all the way at the end to the left, there is designated parking for this restaurant—just look for the signs! ”
